Good Citizenship 101 Fall 2017

Good Citizenship 101 is a weekly program where children learn how to express anger, frustration, and other difficult emotions in positive ways. Social skills and anger management are taught in small group settings using children’s literature, puppets, games, music, and art.

Classes are provided for children in first through the fifth grade. They learn how to communicate what they are feeling; how to better read and understand the social cues of others; the importance of manners, teamwork and cooperation; how to handle angry feelings, fears and frustrations; and bully-proofing.

Participants learn new strategies on how to handle their daily frustrations and gain confidence in their new skills through role plays and group practice and activities. Parents of participants are provided helpful hints for activities to help their children practice new skills at home. Sessions cost $30.00 per meeting.
